Lexington is a historical town that is famous for being the site of the first shot of the American Revolution. Many tourists enjoy the tours of the town’s historic landmarks such as Buckman Tavern, Munroe Tavern, and Hancock-Clarke House; all are maintained by the town’s historical society. Lexington is also known for its renowned public school system, two notable elementary schools are Bridge Elementary and Harrington Elementary.
Commuting to and from Belmont is very convenient. It has easy access to I-95 and Route 128. The MBTA also provides bus service that goes through Lexington to Alewife Station which is the Red Line in Boston.
